The Light Inside

Written by Heloise Kirby and Steve Wilson

v1

Standing on the shore of the sea of belief,

Can I jump right in, divebombing with both feet?

How will it feel, to have that inner joy,

Find my tribe, the missing piece?

v2

Am I crazy, to believe like this?

Don’t want to get sentimental, but I feel, – the bliss.

I know that rejection, was redirection.

Giving me the peace that I have missed.

Pre

Waves break over me. I’m a drop in the ocean, it’s where I’m meant to be.

Chorus

We are all stars, bursting like a supernova,

Believe – breathe new life, I’m willing to try, my limits go beyond the sky.

Own it for myself, the light inside, that I ignite.

Bridge

I’m passing the torch, like I had it passed to me.

The shade was mine that doused the flame.

It feels strange to believe in myself but I do.

Like a bird believes it’ll fly, I can too.

V3

I’ve spread my wings, flown away from the shore,

I love this feeling, I want more…

Chorus

We are all stars, bursting like a supernova,

Believe – breathe new life, I’m willing to try, my limits go beyond the sky.

Own it for myself, the light inside, that I ignite.

The light inside, that I ignite.
